New Design for Website about Science and Technology Cooperation between Israel and Germany

For 50 years, Israel and Germany have been linked by a strong partnership in science and technology cooperation (STC). To mark this occasion, DLR Projektträger, the project management agency of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) has redesigned 'cogeril.de', its website on German-Israeli cooperation. The new portal has a fresh, up-to-date design. Usability and direct access to the most important content were at the heart of this overhaul.

BMBF launches New Funding Initiative for Cooperation with Eastern Partnership and Central Asia

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) wants to further strengthen research cooperation with the countries of the Eastern Partnership and with Central Asia. A framework funding announcement has now been launched to promote closer ties in research cooperation.

Performance Monitoring of the Asia-Pacific Research Area: Report on Korea published

A new report on Korea has been published as part of the 'Performance Monitoring of the Asia-Pacific Research Area (APRA-PM)' series. The report focuses on Korea's science, technology and innovation policies. It examines Korea's recent developments in key research and technology areas and places them in an international context.

Call for proposals for the German-African Innovation Incentive Award (GAIIA) published

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has published a funding announcement for the German-African Innovation Incentive Award (GAIIA). The incentive award honours African researchers and their German partners for outstanding research achievements with high application potential, supports the implementation of a German-African cooperation project and offers accompanying transfer qualification measures.

German-Tunisian cooperation develops open manufacturing infrastructure for the Tunisian textile sector

From 22 to 25 March 2023, an Open Source Machine Building Workshop was successfully held in Tunis to jointly develop Open Source Hardware. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Tunisian partners, led by Helmut Schmidt University, successfully built Open Source Machines for use in the local textile industry.

Pre-announcement of a bilatreal science and technology cooperation call with Tunisia

The intended publication of a funding announcement by the BMBF with the Tunisian Republic has been scheduled to Wednesday, 26 April 2023. This pre-announcement is not legally binding. The pre-announcement is made in consultation with the Tunisian partner and intended to raise awareness of potential applicants. The official funding announcement will be published via the Federal Gazette. Only the provisions therein apply. The announcement will also be published on the → website of the BMBF.

Joint Workshop boosts German-Palestinian Research Cooperation

Around 80 participants from the Palestinian Autonomous Territories and Germany met on 1 March at an online workshop to exchange views on bilateral and multilateral initiatives of current scientific cooperation. Organised by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, existing cooperations were examined and multilateral network and funding measures in the EU area were presented.

Survey on relaunch of website on science cooperation with Israel

In 2023, the Scientific and Technological Cooperation (STC) between Israel and Germany celebrates its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, the website 'cogeril.de' will be redesigned and further developed into a focal point for German-Israeli research and innovation cooperation. Users are invited to take part in a short survey before 14 February 2023, which will enable the developers to optimally align the website to their needs and requirements. The new website will be launched in autumn 2023.
