International Fora and Organisations

The International Bureau (IB) is in charge of tasks related to G7 / G20, OECD, UNESCO and UNU. On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), it assists with the preparation, design and participation in the respective committees and meetings in the field of education and science, as well as the preparation for summit and ministerial meetings. The IB also supports the exchange and further development of the UNU Institutes in Germany.

Internationalisation Strategy

Germany needs to pursue an internationalisation strategy in education, science and innovation to be able to compete internationally and to fulfil its global responsibility. The 'Strategy for the Internationalisation of Education, Science and Research' of the Federal Government – developed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as the leading ministry, with support from DLR Projektträger - provides the necessary foundation.
