The International Bureau is involved in various European research policy coordination projects, in most of them commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

ENRICH in LAC (ENRICH in Latin America and the Caribbean) is part of the H2020 initiative to establish a global network of European research and innovation centres. It acts as the central contact point for stakeholders in this field. ENRICH in LAC broadens the regional spectrum of the previous initiative ENRICH in Brazil (2017-2020). In its first year, the project focused on the target countries Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay. Currently, the project activities are being expanded to Central America and the Caribbean.
