The International Bureau is involved in various European research policy coordination projects, in most of them commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

ERA-NET Consortium AXIS (Assessment of Cross(X) - sectoral climate Impacts and pathways for Sustainable transformation) has been set up to enhance integration of an array of research disciplines related to climate change research.

ENRICH in LAC (ENRICH in Latin America and the Caribbean) is part of the H2020 initiative to establish a global network of European research and innovation centres. It acts as the central contact point for stakeholders in this field.

ENRICH in LAC broadens the regional spectrum of the previous initiative ENRICH in Brazil (2017-2020). In its first year, the project will focus on the target countries Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay. Subsequently, the project activities will expanded to Central America and the Caribbean.

Logo EULAC PerMed

EULAC PerMed (widening EU ‐ CELAC policy and research cooperation in personalised medicine) aims to connect the Latin America and Caribbean region to the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine ICPerMed and to gain members from the partner region. The project activities contribute to the worldwide introduction of personalised medicine, especially in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

Logo ResInfra EU-LAC

EU-LAC ResInfa promotes the networking and cooperation of research infrastructures between Europe and the Latin America and Caribbean region by implementing four pilots in the fields of structural biology, climate change and biodiversity, cultural preservation, and high-performance computing. The project aims to create roadmaps for cooperation, set up virtual research platforms, and to hold workshops, summer schools, staff exchange and webinars.

LEAP4FNSSA is a Coordination and Support Action whose main objective is to provide a tool for European and African institutions to engage in a Sustainable Partnership Platform for research and innovation on Food and Nutrition Security, and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA).

Sino-EU PerMed

SINO-EU-PerMed will conduct a mapping of the personalised medicine landscape and stakeholders in China. It will also promote communication and collaboration between experts in the field of personalised medicine in China and the EU. Sino-EU-PerMed aims at connecting ICPerMed strategies and activities with relevant Chinese stakeholders.

STARS aims to improve the direct regulatory impact of results obtained in medical research. 17 European countries are represented in the consortium through their national competent authorities, alongside academic and industry representatives, and associations with relevant experience.
