The STI Days are a platform for existing bi-regional R&D initiatives and projects between Southeast Asia and Europe, to enable the presentation of project results, networking and the establishment of dialogue with political decision makers. The event is organized by the SEA-EU-NET project under coordination of the Project Management Agency International Bureau in cooperation with the local host, the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), France.

The conference serves as a forum for scientific exchange between Southeast Asia and Europe and perceives itself as multidisciplinary networking event.

Scientific workshops are the core of the activity. Amongst others, there will be workshops on thematic areas like infectious diseases, food safety, water management, climate change and innovation. Another part of the conference are presentations on international research cooperation with additional world regions focusing on the same thematic areas and a brokerage event in which researchers from the participating regions meet to exchange experiences, establish new research collaborations and deepen their cooperation.

Furthermore, the political dialogue on science, technology and innovation between both regions will be intensified and companies, institutes and projects have the chance to showcase their work and products in an exhibition area.
