50 Years of Science and Technology Cooperation between Germany and Canada

This year Germany and Canada are celebrating 50 years of successful cooperation in science and technology. To this end, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research is holding a virtual kick-off event on 7 May 2021, titled '50 Years of German-Canadian Cooperation in Science and Technology'. In the presence of Federal Minister Karliczek, experts from the German-Canadian scientific community will report live on their cooperation experience.

The cooperation with Canada has grown and thrived in recent years, covering a broad thematic spectrum and involving a variety of stakeloders from politics to science and business.

Together with its Canadian partners: Global Affairs Canada and the National Research Council, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) invites you to a virtual kick-off event titled '50 years of German-Canadian cooperation in science and technology' on the occasion of the anniversary.

In addition to high-ranking representatives from both countries (ministers / ambassadors), experts from the German-Canadian scientific community will report live on their personal experience.

Participants can use Slido to ask questions and take part in a panel discussion on current trends and future fields of action for cooperation.
