Information and Matchmaking Event on Canadian-German Funding Initiative for Innovative Solutions using AI Methods in Industry 4.0

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Canadian National Research Council support joint projects in developing and implementing innovative solutions in the area of Industry 4.0 using methods of artificial intelligence with a joint funding initiative. A related virtual information and matchmaking event will take place on 9 June 2020.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Canadian National Research Council (NRC) will jointly promote cooperation projects involving science and industry in the field of innovative solutions using methods of artificial intelligence in the area of ​​Industry 4.0. This measure aims to boost economic competitiveness in Germany and Canada and strengthen the science and technology cooperation between the two countries. The Canadian funding announcement was published at the end of May, the German funding announcement followed on 4 June 2020.

A virtual information and matchmaking event will be offered on 9 June at 4:00 p.m. CEST. Participants from science and business in Germany and Canada are kindly asked to register online. In addition to general information on the bilateral funding measure, this event offers potential applicants a good opportunity to present project ideas, get in touch with project partners and find new partners to form project consortia.
