Event cancelled!

Programme background:

With this programme, Germany and Greece are continuing their successful research and innovation cooperation. The German-Greek research and innovation programme was launched in 2013 and is the only multidisciplinary bilateral programme between Germany and another EU member state. Both countries invest up to nine million euros each in projects with a three-year span.

24 bilateral "2 + 2" projects with institutions from science and industry started in the first half of 2018. They are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on the German side  and by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) in Greece. The programme covers a wide range of thamatic fields and addresses research issues including  health, bio-economy, energy, humanities and social sciences, materials research and key technologies.

To facilitate the exploitation of the project results, the projects are supported in knowledge and technology transfer through a related assistance scheme by the Fraunhofer Institute for International Management and Knowledge Economy (IMW).
