3rd BMBF Round table: "Perspectives of German-Israeli Research and Innovation Cooperation" against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic

A close cooperation in research and innovation links Israel and Germany. In the last few years, both countries have developed a distinctive multilevel structure for their partnership. The discussion will also focus on the new, unprecedented limitations and challenges of bilateral cooperation through the COVID-19 pandemic.

About 40 German experts from research and innovation will exchange experiences on German-Israeli cooperation at this closed event for the third time after 2014 and 2018.

In terms of excellence and diversity, German-Israeli cooperation in research and innovation will continue to be an outstanding example of bilateral cooperation in 2020. The participants will discuss both the status quo of the existing cooperation and in particular the development during the last two years.

In addition, the experts intend to explore further potentials for future cooperation with Israel and broaden the basis for a common understanding of cooperation.
