The aim of this interactive conference was to present the research networks funded in the framework of the campaign and their marketing projects in the target countries France, Japan and USA. The event also aimed to develop synergies and new opportunities for cooperation of science and research organisations in an international environment.

The BMBF Forum International was covered live on the "Research in Germany" media channels via #BMBF_International.

The conference marks the beginning of a new series of events, which will be held every other year, each time focussing on a different topic.
