„Analysis of Cooperation with SMEs“ Innovation Workshop in Moscow

On December 9, the International Bureau of the BMBF and FASIE organised the Workshop "Analyses of German-Russian SME Cooperation". The event took place at the Moscow State University Science Park in Moscow.


Objectives were:

  • To present the objectives of the innovation policy in Germany and Russia in terms of
    research-oriented SMEs and their role in the national innovation strategies
  • To achieve a common understanding about the joint goals
  • To exchange the experiences on the potential and possible barriers regarding bilateral cooperation of SMEs
  • To optimize existing instruments of the bilateral cooperation between SMEs and to develop new tools
  • To improve the collaboration and networking

Subjects of the event were:

  • The role of SMEs in the innovation strategies in Russia and in Germany (Strategies, legal basis, future topics)
  • Presentation of existing instruments to support international collaboration of research-oriented SMEs (at European and national level)
  • Evaluation of the bilateral cooperation on project level/ recommendation of best practice in both countries (results from the first innovation workshop in June 2010)
  • Planning of further joint activities/instruments to strengthen the R & D cooperation and technology transfer between the two countries
