German Science Day in Iran

The first Iran-Germany Science Day (IGSD) will be launched with the event 'German Science Day in Iran' on 27 and 28 February 2018 in Teheran,  followed by  a dedicated medical event in Isfahan on 1 March 2018. Details of the second IGSD event, the 'Iran Science Day in Germany', will be announced at the closing ceremony of the first IGSD on 28 February 2018.

27 - 28 February 2018 | Teheran, Iran

IGSD as bilateral scientific event in national level has been organized, according to the agreement of the Iranian Ministry of Science and Technology (MSRT) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Joint Iranian-German Committee on Science and Technology (JSTC) in Bonn on May 2017. As a commemorative event, IGSD celebrates years of strong Science & Technology Cooperation between Iran and Germany.

IGSD 2018 also provides an opportunity for the officials of MSRT, BMBF and representatives from Iranian and German governmental and private higher education bodies, universities, research institutions and Science and Technology Parks, to exchange ideas on policies and best practiced examples of their science and technology cooperation.

In this main event, almost 60 German delegates and more than 200 Iranian chancellors, deputies, and academics from approximately 30 Iranian universities, research and institutes, industry, and S&T Parks are present. Beside the main event, IGSD has some side events such as policy-making meetings, following-up the ongoing programs, and subsidiary workshops that are going to be held from 27 February  to 3  March 2018.
