BMBF @ POL-ECO-SYSTEM

'German Networks for the Environment - Innovative Projects for the Future' is the theme under which the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will present examples of German research for the environment at the international environmental fair in Poland POL-ECO-SYSTEM. Universities, research institutes, SMEs, multipliers and networks will be represented at the stand of the BMBF in Poznan and have the opportunity to actively engage with potential Polish partners for joint R&D projects.

With the 'Initiative for the Internationalisation of Germany as a Research Location', the BMBF fosters measures to enhance the visibility of German research performance in important target countries such as Poland and to promote cooperation. The aim is to gain future cooperation partners from Poland's research, science and industry communities for joint projects in research and development. To this end, application-related projects and products in the fields of environmental and sustainability research will be presented at the exhibition stand, complemented by a half-day specialist workshops. In addition, the DLR Project Management Agency, the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation (WFBB) and the Polish National Contact Point for EU Research Framework Programs will provide information on funding opportunities at national and EU level.

In the run-up to the fair, cooperation meetings are organised between the German exhibitors and Polish research, science and industry partners. These cooperation meetings will take place during the three-day trade fair directly at the BMBF booth. The goal is the establishment of new German-Polish R&D cooperations.

POL-ECO-SYSTEM is the largest international environmental trade fair in Eastern Europe and takes place annually under the patronage of the Polish Minister of the Environment. It offers exhibitors from all over the world the opportunity to present innovative environmental technologies and products. The following areas are represented at POL-ECO-SYSTEM:

  1. Water and sewage,
  2. Waste and recycling,
  3. Energy and renewable energy,
  4. Air, noise and vibration,
  5. Climate change,
  6. Control and measuring equipment,
  7. Environmental education and
  8. Environmental organisations.

The exhibition POL-ECO-SYSTEM has an exhibition area of ​​between 15,000 and 18,000 m2 and attracts an average of 20,000 visitors. Around 700 exhibitors and companies from more than 20 countries, including: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark,  Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan,  Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden , Switzerland, and Ukraine will be present.
