Inter-ministerial Research Cooperation between the BMBF, MOITAL and MOST

Since 1973, cooperation between German and Israeli ministries has led to the funding of over 600 research projects conducted by research facilities in both countries. As a rule, the funding is focussed on topics which are covered by the BMBF research funding programs and are of special interest to MOITAL and MOST. For some years now, the projects funded within this initiative tend to have a strong orientation towards application and industry.
BMBF, BMU, the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour (MOITAL) concentrates on the marine and geo-sciences, biotechnology, environmental research, neurosciences, cancer research and water technologies.
