ACCESS4EU

The EU’s Research Framework Programme is generally open to third countries. In turn, the EU’s agreements on scientific and technological cooperation with third countries require these countries to open their national programmes to EU researchers. Access4EU projects are intended to strengthen and increase the implementation of this reciprocal opening.

The aim of the measure is to inform researchers from EU Member States (MS) and Associated States (AS) about existing opportunities for participation in funding programmes and calls for proposals in the target countries and to identify obstacles to participation. In addition, suggestions for the optimization of framework conditions will be made.

  • APORTA - Supporting EU Access to Brazilian National research programmes

ACCESS4EU projects in general aim at depicting the possibilities of participation in funding programmes of third countries for European researchers. APORTA, („Supporting EU Access to Brazilian National research programmes – Acesso por Ciência e Technologia no Brasil”) is the ACCESS4EU project specifically targeted at Brazil. APORTA analyzes the access opportunities for European scientists in Brazilian funding programmes and points at possibilities of optimizing the access conditions. The International Bureau is responsible for the coordination of APORTA and actively involved in other work packages.

  • ACCESS4EU:NZ

This ACCESS4EU:NZ project seeks to establish a platform to increase the awareness and dissemination within the Member States and Associated Countries of opportunities for European researchers and research organisations to participate in New Zealand’s (NZ’s) publicly-funded research and innovation programmes. The platform aims to reduce or remove impediments to European researchers seeking to participate in NZ’s research and innovation programmes through improving the provision of information on available opportunities and the identification of prospective partners in New Zealand.
