  Deutschland und Indien 2011-2012. Infinite Opportunities

  Anlässlich des 60jährigen Bestehens der diplomatischen Beziehungen zwischen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und der Republik Indien findet von Herbst 2011 bis Herbst 2012 das Deutschlandjahr „Deutschland und Indien 2011-2012“ statt. Das Jahr steht unter dem Motto "Germany and India. Infinite Opportunities" und soll der Vertiefung und Ausweitung der deutsch-indischen Beziehungen dienen. Deutschland, das "Land der Ideen", wird sich unter dem thematischen Fokus "StadtRäume-CitySpaces" als innovativer, kreativer Partner Indiens für die Lösung von Zukunftsfragen präsentieren.

  German-Russian Year of Education, Science and Innovation 2011/12 (DRWJ)

  Germany and Russia have worked continuously to expand their collaboration in science and research over the last two decades. In order to further reinforce this partnership, Prof. Annette Schavan, the German Federal Minister of Education and Research, and her Russian counterpart, Prof. Andrei Fursenko, will jointly launch the ‘German-Russian Year of Education, Science and Innovation 2011/12’ on 23 May 2011 in Moscow. Numerous events relating to topics of the future will be held during the German-Russian Year of Science under the motto ‘Partnership of ideas’.

  Deutsch-Brasilanisches Jahr der Wissenschaft, Technologie und Innovation 2010/11 (DBWTI)

  Deutschland und Brasilien verbindet seit mehr als 40 Jahren eine starke Partnerschaft in der Wissenschaft und Forschung. Um diese erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit zu würdigen und ihr neue Impulse zu geben, haben die deutsche Bundesministerin für Bildung und Forschung Prof. Annette Schavan und der brasilianische Forschungsminister Prof. Sergio Rezende am 12. April 2010 in Sao Paulo gemeinsam das "Deutsch-Brasilianische Jahr der Wissenschaft, Technologie und Innovation 2010/11" eröffnet. Unter dem Motto nachhaltig:innovativ finden in beiden Ländern von April 2010 bis April 2011 zahlreiche Aktivitäten statt.

  Deutsch-Chinesisches Jahr der Wissenschaft und Bildung 2009-2010

  Das Deutsch-Chinesische Jahr der Wissenschaft und Bildung 2009-2010 soll Impulse für die Kooperation zwischen Deutschland und China in Bildung und Wissenschaft geben. Dabei sind das chinesische Forschungs- und das chinesische Bildungsministerium gleichberechtigte und gleich bedeutende Partner. Das Jahr wurde am 30. März 2009 an der FU Berlin von Frau Ministerin Schavan sowie dem chinesischen Forschungsminister Wan und der chinesischen Vize-Bildungsministerin Chen feierlich eröffnet. Das Deutsch-Chinesische Jahr soll bis zur Expo 2010, die in Shanghai stattfinden wird, andauern.

  German-Isreali Year of Science and Technology 2008

  This year sees the German-Isreali Year of Science and Technology 2008. It will be opened on 7th/8th April in Berlin with a concert and ceremonial act, which will be attended by the German minister of education and research Dr. Annette Schavan as well as the Israeli minister of science, culture and sports Galeb Majadle. Throughout the whole year several bilateral events relating to education and research, science and technology will take place.

  German-Polish Year 2005/2006

  The German-Polish Year took place in Germany and in Poland from May 2005 to May 2006. It started on the 60th anniversary of the end of the war and ended on the 15th anniversary of the German-Polish treaty of good neighbourhood. The German-Polish Year had the aim of shining a bright light on the diversity and strength of German-Polish relations by engaging in direct contact with people, civil society in both countries, and regional and local stakeholders – the Länder, Voivodeships, towns, districts and communities. The German-Polish Year also offered opportunities for new developments in bilateral relations.

  Germany in Japan Year 2005/2006

  The President of the Federal Republic of Germany and His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan opened the “Germany in Japan Year 2005/2006” on 4 April 2005. For the first time, Germany presented itself in Japan as a modern location of education, research, technology and science, as an active economic partner and as a country full of cultural traditions.
