In general, subsidies can be granted upon request and within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Germany and the USA in the areas of education and research.

In general, subsidies can be granted upon request and within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Germany and the USA in the areas of education and research for

1) international projects in strategic research fields, particularly those related to the BMBF’s funding programmes and the European Research Framework Programme,
2) the development of priority international research programmes (preparation phase, pilot scheme),
3) the support of international projects in the priority areas.

German partners may apply for the funding of preparatory measures at any time.
